Introducing Emil Koren

Emil Koren is an accounting faculty member at a selective liberal arts college in Florida. He is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Emil holds an undergraduate degree from Cleveland State University and holds two masters’ degrees; a master in Economics from University of Colorado at Boulder and an MBA from University of Northern Colorado. Emil has over eight years of industry experience and over 26 years of academic and consulting experience. His teaching experience includes faculty positions in large universities, community colleges, liberal arts colleges and teaching at a university in Europe.

His consulting work includes training students for the CPA examination and preparing executives for the conversion of International Financial Reporting Standards and US-GAAP. Emil has extensive experience training students and executives from various countries including Bulgaria, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Romania, Ukraine, Japan, Mexico, China, Mongolia and the USA. He has also traveled extensively and visited over 15 countries in the last five years.
