Michael Bechara, CPA is Managing Director of the Granite Consulting Group, an internal audit and financial management consultancy. Michael typically works with CFOs, Audit Committees and financial managers to build sustainable governance, control and financial management processes.
His work includes assisting clients in enterprise risk assessment, performing complex profitability analysis, integrating acquisitions, and improving critical business processes. Under Michael’s leadership Granite has developed an advanced neural network risk assessment model capable of identifying and analyzing risk in complex environments.
Michael has extensive financial management experience in corporate headquarters environments and has held positions with Pepsi Bottling Group, Daimler AG and EDO Corporation. At EDO, Michael was Director of Internal Audit and oversaw Department of Defense compliance reviews, risk based audits and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Michael was also actively involved in advising the Board of Directors on corporate governance matters and was appointed to several Senior Management Committees, i.e. Export Compliance, Review & Disclosure, etc.
