Introducing Howard S. Sibelman

Howard Sibelman holds the position of Accounting and Education Director for Crowe Horwath International, an international network of accounting firms with over 140 member firms around the globe.

Howard is responsible for providing leadership on training initiatives and providing accounting technical support to the worldwide network. Howard also assists with quality assurance reviews throughout the network to help ensure compliance with international accounting and auditing standards.

Prior to accepting this position, Howard was a Business Assurance Partner at Moss Adams LLP, the 11th largest accounting and consulting firm in the United States and the largest firm headquartered in the West. He served as a member of the firm’s International Services Group, the firm’s IFRS Core Training Group, and also served as the Quality Control Coordinator for the firm’s Los Angeles office. Howard was recently selected by the California Society of CPAs to be the vice-chairman (chairman elect) of the state’s Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards Committee. Howard has extensive experience of accounting, auditing and consulting to middle-market companies, and has served clients in the manufacturing, distribution, entertainment, hospitality and real estate industries.

An integral part of Howard’s professional background is his active role as an educator. He was the National Director of Continuing Education for a national CPA firm, was an instructor at the University of Southern California, was on the faculty of two of the nation’s largest CPA review courses, and has facilitated numerous firm and CPA Society education programs.
